Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI)

Membership
Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) is the oldest Chamber of Commerce in Pakistan. Founded by seven British trading concerns, the Chamber aimed to promote commercial enterprise in the city and province. It also played a crucial role in promoting industrial development in Karachi, supporting the establishment of the first industrial zone in S.I.T.E. Over time, the chamber took on the role of the prime facilitator to foreign investors, frequently called upon to assist the government in policy formulation in the financial, commercial and industrial sectors, particularly where it impacts foreign investment in Pakistan. The Chamber serves as the first port of call for potential foreign investors, foreign business delegations, ambassadors, diplomats, and government officials from countries interested in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan. These visitors seek insights into the perspectives of existing major foreign investors regarding the business environment in the country. The Chamber serves as the main representative body for foreign investors in Pakistan, gathering data on foreign investments and presenting insights on the business environment to potential investors, foreign trade delegations, and trade counselors.
